Food Around the World

Χριστίνα Χρυσάνθη Κατατριώτη

Description

This course takes the students around the world through food. It allows them to experience and learn about traditional foods around the world providing insight into different cultures. Students not only learn about different dishes but also have the opportunity to expand their vocabulary in terms of food and ingredients like different types of meats, dairy products, fruits and vegetables. Furthermore this unit also focuses on food measurements: ml, L, kg and gms.

In terms of grammar the unit focuses on the use of the imperative and the process of giving instructions. This is achieved by the final task, which is for the students to create their own recipe bringing together both the grammar and the vocabulary of the unit.

Finally the unit closes with a self evaluation to assess the students progress.
