Units

Fashion underwent drastic changes in the twentieth century going form the more conservative, restrictive and higly stilised female silhouettes t of the begining of the century to the rock and noncomformist look of the nineties. In this unit we will take a look at these changes and see their connection to feminism.

Most of us have bought clothes that we thought were amazing just for them to tear almost immediately in the past. But unlike previous generations we don't even bother mending them since buying a new piece of clothing costs less than our time. But why is that? Why are clothes so cheap and what impact does that have on the people who make them as well as the planet as a whole? In this unit we will focus on fast fashion and and its adverse effects on the environment and even on the people who work in the industry.
