Course : English Language & Learning

Note to Instructor & Mentor:

This workshop aims to familiarize students with the topic of Sports & Hobbies. The general context of the course consists of the vocabulary and real-life situations in which students as future athletes might meet.

The study material, which is posted on the e- class of the course, consists of selected multiple on-line and off-line activities, as well as worksheets and auxiliary websites for the needs of each of the activity. In addition, glossary has been created in order to assist students further.

Lesson Aims:

• Learn, understand and acquire new vocabulary in relation with Hobbies / Sports / Interests.
• To make Ss even more familiar and accustomed towards digital tools.

Lesson Objectives:

Students (Ss) will be able to:

• Express their preferences using their background knowledge.
• Extract information while watching a video.
• Read and comprehend an educational purposes text in English in relation with Hobbies / Sports / Interests.
• Link their unconscious tendency of the use of technology with a L2 learning process.
