Περιγραφή Μαθήματος

This course aims to teach to intermediate students the evolution of Art through time. The first unit covers the period of the Italian Renaissance, while the second unit explores the Baroque era of art. At the end of this course, and after familiarizing with these two art styles, students will be able to identify the characteristics of each period, use proper terms and vocabulary related to the world of art, and have the opportunity to express themselves by creating an artwork in the style of one of the aforementioned eras, which will be accompanied by a small text, explaining what is depicted and which elements are present from the period they have chosen. Useful terms and vocabulary will be provided in the e-class’s glossary, while videos, links, and other useful material, can be found in the course's modules, under the corresponding categories.
