LEARNING GRAMMAR: CONDITIONALS

Beschreibung des Kurses

The aim of this course is to use theory and practice in order to teach learners what conditional sentences are and how they should be used. By the end of this course, students should be able to use conditionals in oral speech and written texts naturally and coherently. In the first part of the course, students will be taught the general purpose of using conditional sentences, how conditional sentences are structured and the four different types of conditionals (zero, first, second, third, mixed). They will also learn how to use the frst two types of conditionals (zero and first conditional). In the second part of the course, students will learn how to use the second and the third conditional. In the third and last part of the course, the students will learn how to combine the second and third conditional, as well as other important skills, such as “if” alternatives and inversions.

 

AIMS OF THE COURSE:

Upon completion of this course learners should be able to utilize conditional sentences, as well as associated grammatical phenomena, in the production of written or oral speech.
