Περιγραφή Μαθήματος

This online module is developed for students acquiring English as a second language. More specifically, it is carefully designed with the aim of familiarizing them with the Unit of “sports”; it provides them with the opportunity to acquire the necessary knowledge regarding sports vocabulary and grammar by watching videos and flashcards and completing engaging and interesting activities online (multiple choice activities, matching activities, writing tasks, etc). It also provides students with the experience of working in an online environment with their peers. In addition, word recognition skills, knowledge, and techniques can also be exercised and developed within a professional context.

Aims:

Upon completion of this course learner will be able to:

• Define and analyze the basic rules of each sport.
• Put their acquired knowledge into practice by completing online activities

 

Objectives: 

• Define sports' meaning 
• Compare different types of sports 
• Execute matching activities related to sports 
• Explain the equipment which is required for each type of sports
