Περιγραφή

This lesson is designed for students who are in the 5th grade of Primary school. Their level is A2 (Pre-intermediate) and their age is 10-11 years old. Learners will be engaged to various activities meeting their different learning styles. Many digital tools will be used along with audiovisual material.

General aims and specific objectives:

Aims:

Students should be able to:

  • Understand the content of simple structured videos that present daily actions in a town.
  • Describe an imaginary town orally and write about their own one, referring to places and everyday actions and using the right vocabulary.

Objectives:

At the end of the lesson students will be able to:

  • Recall the concept of living in a town through a song.
  • Identify the places/parts of a town.
  • Recognize a daily action presented in an interactive video.
  • Apply the new vocabulary and draw connections between their previous and their new knowledge.
  • Employ and share their ideas through meaningful conversation.
  • Compare and evaluate each

Welcome to this lesson! Here are the steps you will have to follow:

  1. Listen to the Song presenting the places and shops in a town.
  2. Now, you are ready to do the Matching activity, matching the places/shops of a town with their photos.
  3. Watch the Interactive video and answer the questions presented.
  4. Afterwards, you can play a Memory game and remember the means of transport.
  5. As I know that you like speaking, you can practise the speaking activity we had in class at home. You can find the worksheet under "έγγραφα".
  6. Padlet time! You can write on Padlet your favourite place in town and share your opinion with us. 
  7. And lastly, homework. A little more practise. All you have to do it write on padlet about your own town (Padlet- Homework).
